Abstract

|
Ethanol extract of Phellinus linteus (PLE) were examined for anti-inflammatory effect in punch ear edema, anti-angiogenic effect using the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay and analgesic effect on writhing test. The extract was found to contain the significant anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic and analgesic activity. Butanol fraction of PLE was the most active fraction. Thus, these results suggest that PLE and the fractions of PLE had anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic and analgesic activities.
